Grace is the co-owner and co-founder of WritefullyHis and dashiell & daughter. Grace has been providing beautiful paper to clients and boutiques for over five years. In her senior year of college, Grace founded WritefullyHis, LLC, a social stationery, greeting card, and wedding invitation company that gives back 20% of its proceeds to purchase school supplies for students in East Africa. In 2016, she launched a retail store, Dashiell & Daughter, to grow WritefullyHis and expand the Company’s reach by carrying products complimenting the existing paper items. The store continued with WritefullyHis’ mission by donating 20% of its proceeds to a private Field of Interest Fund, The WritefullyHis Foundation, to continue the efforts of supplying paper and pencil for students.
Virginia joined the WH family years ago as a summer intern and was hired as our first full time employee in May of 2017. She recently graduated from Wofford College after studying English and business with a concentration in new media and marketing. Virginia grew up in Orangeburg, SC where she enjoyed the pleasures of small town living — great big back yards, sprawling fields for a relaxing, long gallop, roadside stands with salty boiled peanuts and homegrown tomatoes. Now a new resident of Charlotte, NC, Virginia draws inspiration from the simple memories and treasures of home. She attributes her creative spirit to her grandmother, Juju, who encouraged her read books, write stories and paint her every thought. Her love for the digital space — that was not discovered until her summer internship with WritefullyHis. She carried this new-found interest with her to other internships and positions in the media sphere. She craved more hands-on experience in the creative world, which ultimately led her to Berlin, Germany for a study abroad experience. In Berlin, Virginia studied social media strategy, intercultural communication and journalism. Her explorations and adventures across the world have fueled her passions, but her heart always drew her back to the philanthropic endeavors of WritefullyHis. Now, Virginia works closely with our Founder/CEO Grace Moyd on the creative development of the company. In her free time, Virginia loves decorating her sweet new apartment, trying new recipes in the kitchen, playing with her grey and white kitten, Remy girl, and working on her personal lifestyle blog, dabble + dally.
Meet dashiell and daughter’s store manager, Alex Leaphart. Alex grew up in small town outside of Columbia, SC. Her whole life she has loved exploring new places, swimming in ocean, playing in the sand, and spending Sunday afternoons in her grandmother’s kitchen. While serving on her high school yearbook as editor and chief, Alex found her passion for marketing and photography. In college, Alex pursued this passion by starting her own social photography project where she offers free maternity, newborn, and family portraits to low income families by partnering with local non-profits. She also sought opportunities to gain experience in marketing by joining organizations like Space to Launch and University Innovation Fellows, taking on roles like the marketing director of Purple Scarf Society, and interning with the digital marketing and graphic design department at Pure Fishing. Inspired by our own founder, Grace, Alex reverently prayed about starting her own wedding photography business, which had been her dream for years. During her senior year, Alex officially founded Alex Hope Leaphart Photography, and now serves brides, couples, and families all over South Carolina. Alex’s favorite thing about being a photographer is being able to use her business to glorify God, spread his love, and make people feel beautiful and confident. Alex joined dashiell and daughter upon graduating from Wofford College and has enjoyed loving on each customer that comes in, finding products that people will love, supporting other organizations and businesses that give back, planning fun events, and of course taking photos of the quaint shop. When Alex is not taking photos or managing dashiell and daughter, she is exploring Spartanburg’s latest restaurant with her handsome husband, Taylor, and their boykin spaniel, Georgia.
